Recent hotel openings

The Hoxton Chicago
The Hoxton is located in Chicago’s energetic and food-centric Fulton Market, on the site of a former carmaker and meatpacker. The hotel features 182 rooms, a restaurant and bar, and an inviting rooftop pool. 200 N. Green St.

Hiltons at McCormick Place
This is the first ever tri-branded Hilton, combining a Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, and Home2 Suites. All facilities are linked by enclosed sky bridges, providing access to McCormick Place. The hotel features 184 Hilton Garden Inn rooms, 187 Hampton Inn rooms, and 95 suites at Home2 Suites. 123 E. Cermak Rd.

Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites Chicago Downtown South Loop
In addition to a 196-room Hilton Garden Inn, the 29-story Homewood Suites features a separate 85-room extended-stay Wabash Suites and approximately 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. 55 E. 11th St.

Home2 Suites by Hilton
Home2 Suites by Hilton, a modern extended-stay hotel in River North, is a short walk from Chicago’s top attractions, including the Magnificent Mile, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and 875 N. Michigan Ave., home to the 360 CHICAGO observation deck. 110 W. Huron St.

Hyatt House/Hyatt Place 
A dual-branded 210-room Hyatt Place/Hyatt House hotel has taken up residence in the former Cook County Hospital building, along with medical offices, retail spaces, and an on-site museum that charts the history of this historic building. 1835 W. Harrison St.

Nobu Hotel Chicago
Nobu Hotel features the hotel collection’s trademark Nobu restaurant and a “Nobu on the Roof” with indoor and outdoor bar space with views of the West Loop’s Restaurant Row. The 115-room hotel also features a fitness center, spa, event space, and indoor swimming pool. 854 N. Randolph St.

Sable at Navy Pier Chicago, Curio Collection by Hilton
This exclusive Sable Hotel is located adjacent to Navy Pier’s Festival Hall. In addition to 222 guest rooms, the hotel features a state-of-the-art fitness center and a 30,000-square-foot rooftop restaurant, bar, and event space. 600 E. Grand Ave.

Canopy/Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop
Located directly across the street from Willis Tower, Canopy/Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop is in the epicenter of Chicago’s financial district. Famous attractions such as The Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and Chicago Riverwalk are in walking distance. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and theatre. 226 W. Studio 6/Motel 6
Chicago convention-goers could soon have a lower-cost hotel option next to McCormick Place under a proposal that would add to the recent run of new places to stay in the Near South Side neighborhood. A suburban investor plans to turn a vacant six-story former auto showroom just steps from the convention center into a 200-room, dual-brand Studio 6/Motel 6. 2300 S. Indiana Ave.

Hampton Inn & Suites
A Chicago developer began construction on a long-stalled hotel project in the Illinois Medical District, on track to complete the third phase of the $300 mixed-use complex project. A venture of Higginbottom’s East Lake Management & Development is finalizing a $19 million construction loan for a 135-key Hampton Inn & Suites at the Gateway, a 10-acre mixed-use project at the corner of Ogden and Damen avenues, Crain’s reported citing East Lake and its lender Republic Bank of Chicago. 2020 Ogden

Courtyard by Marriott
Construction is imminent for a new 14-story hotel development at 180 W Randolph Street in The Loop. Located on an interior lot between N LaSalle Street and N Wells Street. The Clark/Lake CTA L station, serviced by the Brown, Blue, Purple, Pink, Green and Orange Lines, can be accessed within a four-minute walk. 180 W Randolph

RIU
Construction is now fully underway for 150 E. Ontario St., the site of what will be a 28-story hotel. The Streeterville project is one of the first major high rises in years to be built in the district, whose development heyday occupied much of the 2000s and 2010s. 150 E Ontario St.
