This former residence for female art students was John A Holabird’s first design after he joined his father’s firm on his return from Paris. The vaguely Mediterranean exterior hints at the lovely courtyard within. The eclectic ornamentation is drawn from a variety of European sources. The sculptured panels on the east facade were inspired by Jean Goujon’s Fontaine des Innocents in Paris.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a private residence.
