iO Theater is one of the country’s premier comedy theaters and a launching pad for some of America’s most promising comedic talents. Since 1981, The iO Theater has been the foundational institution dedicated to the development of long-form improvisational theater; we’ve helped launch the careers of countless comedians and actors like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Mike Meyers, and Jason Sudeikis (just to name a few).
Through this collaborative artform, iO seeks to create a community that makes space and creates new pathways and entry points for performers of all backgrounds and abilities. iO is open Wednesday-Sunday at 6 pm and hosts 40 shows a week.
In addition to our standard programming, we offer custom entertainment options like private shows, team team-building workshops. With four theaters, five classrooms, a large event space, and an in-house bar and kitchen, the iO Theater is the perfect backdrop for your next event.
