With the university overlooking several of Chicago’s major hospitality and tourism destinations the Manfred Steinfeld School of Hospitality and Tourism Management offers an undergraduate program preparing students in these areas of emphasis: lodging; food and beverage; meeting and events; sports hospitality management, and tourism administration. Other subject areas include casino and club management. Also offered is the more traditional Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a one-year, on-line Executive Masters in Hospitality and Tourism Management for those industry professionals with five or more years experience.
Upon request, the school of hospitality and tourism also provides convention groups with voluntary part-time student interns to gain important industry experience by working a client’s event as registration clerks, room monitors, way-finders, exhibit and general assistants to gain important industry experience.
