Mindworks is the world’s first interactive discovery center and working lab dedicated to behavioral science, showcasing the research and ideas of preeminent scientists who examine the inner workings of human behavior.
Free and open to all, Mindworks is located in the heart of downtown Chicago’s cultural corridor, welcoming visitors to explore interactive exhibits, take part in hands-on research studies, and earn prizes for participating.
Mindworks continues and expands the work of the Roman Family Center for Decision Research at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Since its grand opening in July 2021, Mindworks has welcomed more than 20,000 visitors from more than 65 countries.
Research at Mindworks is conducted in the PIMCO Decision Research Labs with the goal of increasing the number and diversity of participants in studies. Visitors to Mindworks can interact with eight exhibits that show how insights from behavioral science can help people better understand and improve their lives and communities.
