The mansion was built in 1890 and designed by Henry Ives Cobb who also designed the main quadrangles at the University of Chicago and the Fisheries Building at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition. Cobb used a medieval French model for this limestone mansion which has seen two additions and now contains 30 some condominiums.
