DuSable Heritage Association (DHA), a nonprofit 501 c3 organization in Chicago established since 2000 and incorporated in 2002. DHA’s mission is to promote the legacy of Jean-Baptiste Pointe DuSable (a black man of Haitian descent), the founder of Chicago, through educational and cultural activities. DuSable was an astute entrepreneur, a successful businessman, a multiculturalist and a community builder who transcended his time and inspired modern Chicagoans.
