Zen del Sur at the 2025 Chicago Flamenco Festival

Dedicated to the preservation and presentation of the multi-cultural art form of flamenco, Chicago Flamenco Festival returns to the Instituto Cervantes Chicago, celebrating its XXIII anniversary.

The multi-dimensional group Zen del Sur presents their latest performance piece Órbita in the 2025 Chicago Flamenco Festival, a work of pure poetry in motion. Emotionally-charged and full of strength and sensitivity, Órbita offers the audience an integrated vision of artistic fusion between acrobatic dance, urban dance, flamenco, Cyr wheel, boleadoras, and acrobalance. Carlos López and Noemí Pareja, two multitalented artists, interact through different contemporary styles of movement, circus elements, dance, and live music under the gravitational attraction of their roots: Andalucía and flamenco. The performance invites the audience on a dreamlike journey that guides us towards our roots.
