Twelfth Night
DePaul’s student-run theatre organization is proud to present William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. This show tells the story of a woman’s journey through love and identity as she disguises herself as a man to work for a nearby duke for her own safety. The woman, Viola, falls in love with the Duke Orsino, but is left confused when a countess called Olivia, Orsino’s “true” love, falls for her male disguise. Blue Demon Theatre’s take on this classic fast-paced comedy, filled with several interwoven plots of romance, mistaken identities, and practical jokes, will remind you why Shakespeare’s writing has withstood the test of time.
