Stand Up for Parkinson’s
A Night of Laughter and Hope in Memory of Those Affected by Parkinson’s Disease
CHICAGO, IL – On December 15, 2024, join the fight against Parkinson’s disease with a night of unforgettable
comedy at Zanies Rosemont. Stand Up for Parkinson’s brings together some of comedy’s brightest stars,
Paul Farahvar and Brittany Brave, hosted by Blake Burkhart, along with special guests. Doors open at 6:00
PM, and the laughter kicks off at 7:00 PM. Tickets are on sale now at rosemont.zanies.com, with all proceeds
benefitting the Parkinson’s Foundation.
This year’s Stand Up for Parkinson’s is dedicated to Paul Farahvar’s father and the memory of past event
host Joe Antonacci. Farahvar’s father, a retired orthopedic surgeon and former President of St. Mary’s
Resurrection Hospital in Chicago, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2020, inspiring Paul to champion this
cause. Antonacci, a beloved boxing ring announcer who transitioned to comedy, also received his Parkinson’s
diagnosis in 2020. His brave journey with the disease and the role that comedy played in his life has left an
indelible impact on the comedy community.
The Parkinson’s Foundation leads the charge in advancing research, raising awareness, and providing
essential resources for those affected by Parkinson’s disease. By attending this event, you’ll be making a
meaningful contribution to help patients and their families while enjoying a memorable night of humor and
inspiration.
