Northern Illinois Pottery Tour

The Northern IL Pottery Tour is hosting its fourth year!

Thirty-five potters will be setting up their displays at 6 different studios in the area. Come out and meet the folks that take clay to the next level!

Contemporary ceramics enjoys a fantastic variety of form and surface. Enjoy seeing Tim Kowalczyk’s mugs that appear to be made out of cardboard. Some of Natalie Steinmetz’s work looks like it emerged from a disturbing dream– mesmerizing! Breana Ferreira creates bright and textured surfaces that embrace summer. Imagine serving up your favorite appetizer on a smoky, carved plate by Simon Levin.

Each stop is curated to celebrate the diversity in our field. We welcome you to come out, get to know us a bit, and adopt some pottery into your everyday!

The Aurora stop is hosting the opening reception at the Artisan Loft Gallery at 2 S Stolp, Aurora. Friday, from 6-9pm

The main event takes place at 6 stops, stretching from Forest Park to Sandwich. Each stop is hosting 5-7 invited artists. The show runs Saturday and Sunday, June 8th-9th, from 10am-5pm

The tour is free, and self-guided.
