Chicago Botanic Garden
The Chicago Botanic Garden opened more than 40 years ago as a beautiful place to visit, and it has matured into one of the world’s…
Having started in 2004, our Spring show is smaller than our August Exhibition but is well worth the trip. We will have 7 tree vendors and 4 ceramic pottery vendors as well as a booth from the Cactus & Succulent Society. Vendors offer an amazing selection of trees, accent plants, pots, tools and literature. There will be workshops on Variegated Junipers, Texas Ebony’s and Itoigawa Junipers, as well as our popular Children’s Bonsai Styling Workshop. Midwest Bonsai will be selling memberships and gear, and raffling a styled Japanese Silverberry tree. The show theme is education, so trees-in-training are displayed and members bring trees in various stages of development with explanations. The Exhibit is held in Burnstein Hall in the Regenstein Center at Chicago Botanic Garden. The spectacular Garden bonsai trees will be displayed in both courtyards. See you there!
