Kids Free Day
Sunday, May 4 from 10am-5pm
On Sunday, May 4 the museum will be open from 10-5 with free admission for kids! While you’re here, join us for a 20th anniversary celebration of the publication of The Skin You Live In. Chicago Children’s Museum’s beloved picture book delivers an important message about race, inclusion, and social acceptance to young readers. Join author Michael Tyler and illustrator David Lee Csicsko for readings, book signings, and a collage self-portrait activity that celebrates the beautiful skin you live in.
Full schedule:
- Collage self-portraits with illustrator David Lee Csicsko: 10am-12pm & 1-3pm
- Read-aloud with author Michael Tyler: 11am & 2pm
- Book signing with author Michael Tyler & illustrator David Lee Csicsko: 11:30am & 2:30pm
