House Music Showcase

The showcase marks the 40th year since the first commercially released House record by Jesse Saunders and Vince Lawrence, notably “On and On,” was released, inciting an explosion across Chicago, and eventually, the world, as House Music became a staple of dance floors everywhere. This major milestone commemorates the groundbreaking movement ignited by a talented group of DJs and producers, infusing Chicago’s clubs and airwaves with a vibrant blend of disco, Latin beats, and RnB music.
In 2024, NASCAR Chicago and House Music 40 are excited to celebrate the spirit of a city that has birthed multiple musical genres and great artists of all kinds and has seen great Black originators and pioneers flourish.
