Gold Coast Art Fair: Chicago, Illinois (66th Annual)

Celebrating 66 years, the Gold Coast Art Fair returns with PRIDE to Chicago’s Grant Park on Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16, which is Father’s Day Weekend! This award-winning, family-friendly art fair welcomes more than 200 juried artists from around the country and draws thousands of art enthusiasts from Chicago and beyond, creating an exceptional, shoppable art experience – a wonderful opportunity to purchase original art for your home, your office or yourself!  Paintings, sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, mixed media and more will be exhibited and available for purchase in this iconic setting between the Art Institute and Lake Michigan. Live music stages in various locations along with three oases offering delicious food, beer, wine, and sangria throughout Grant Park’s Butler Field add to the lively, festive atmosphere. While there, make your very own masterpiece at the “Start to Paint” on-site painting classes for kids and adults, and be sure to look for the “Kids Art Stop” booth signs where artists welcome children to stop at their booth to learn more about the art-making process. Don’t miss the Kids Art Zone featuring art projects, face painting, sand art and a new self-portrait project! A portion of the admission will benefit Chicago Furniture Bank. Kids 12 and under are admitted for free. Easy parking is available in the Millennium Parking Garage right off Columbus Street. Public transportation is always a great option when visiting the fair. All loop trains and Michigan Avenue buses will bring you within blocks of Grant Park. The show is handicap accessible and wheel friendly. Attendees are invited to bring their gently used wall art to the festival where it will be donated to the Chicago Furniture Bank, a nonprofit that distributes furnishings and art to those leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing. Several artists from this show are participating in Amdur Productions’ Green Ribbon Project. Artists place a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth, and if the piece is sold, 10% of the sale will be donated to Amdur’s charitable partner, which is the Chicago Furniture Bank. For more information, contact Amdur Productions at 847-926-4300.
