Elsinore Presents The Lifespan of a Fact
Elsinore makes their Chicago debut in this timely dramatic comedy directed by Jeff Award nominee Aaron Reese Boseman (he/him). The cast comprises the three co-founders of Elsinore: Jamie Ewing (he/him, John D’Agata), Lori Rohr (she/her, Emily Penrose) and Thomas Neumann (they/them, Jim Fingal). The production runs April 3 – May 4, with no performances on Easter Weekend.
When intern Jim Fingal is assigned to fact check a transcendent essay by noted writer John D’Agata, the two go head to head – with their editor (Lori Rohr) caught in the middle of a comedic yet gripping battle over facts versus truth. The Lifespan of a Fact will confront the audience to consider where objectivity and subjectivity split – or bleed together.
The production team includes Laura Courtney (she/her, stage manager), Will Hughes (he/him, set design), Quinn Chisenhall (he/him, light design), Warren Levon (he/him, sound design) and DJ Douglass (they/any, projection design).
The preview is April 3 with press opening on April 4. Performance schedule is Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM and Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM. This production runs approximately 90 minutes without an intermission.
