From the soul-stirring melodies of String Quartet No. 5 – dedicated to the memory of Rosa Parks and to courageous women everywhere – to a world premiere commissioned by the CSO, Roumain’s evocative compositions offer a showcase of innovation. Allison Loggins-Hull’s Homeland, inspired by the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, explores the concept of home during crisis. Brittany J.
