Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott) is a sonic architect, trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, designer of innovative technologies and musical instruments, and creator of genre-blind “Stretch music.” A two-time Edison Award winner and five-time GRAMMY nominee, Adjuah has collaborated with legends like Prince, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, and Mos Def, and sold out Carnegie Hall after the 2020 release of his album Axiom. As Chieftain and Oba of the Xodokan Nation as well as the current Grand Griot of New Orleans, his work is fueled by social and political insight, combining inventive compositions and bespoke instruments to explore a unique sonic terrain.
