An Edible Array of Music: tunes to whet your appetite – Chicago Cabaret Week Opening Night
Robin Watson (Jazzlady Robin) has blazed some of Chicago’s premier hotspots including Navy Pier, United Center, Peninsula Hotel, Showboat, Empress and Majestic Star Casinos. On opening night of Chicago Cabaret Week, she brings you an array of tunes and quips centered around food. This eclectic selection of tunes from Ellington to Wonder are performed with a funky twist, including “Peel Me a Grape,” “Tulip or Turnip,” “Cake by the Ocean” and “Watermelon Sugar.” As a vocal performance major at Spelman College, Atlanta, GA, she merited solo performances at the inauguration of President Jimmy Carter and the United Nations and toured Brazil, SA. “Whatever style of music she undertakes she swings, she’s sultry, she’s fun!
As a bonus, world renown, hilarious, clean comedian Jeremiah Frazier joins us. And on your table, free raffle tickets for dining experiences. Don’t miss this delicious performance!
