Jealousy and intrigue run rampant in the city of Palacio. A mother and a daughter face off in a fight to the finish: The mother will do anything to hold on to power, and the daughter will stop at nothing to avenge her father’s murder. A contemporary take on the Electra myth, Adverses is a humorous yet poignant exploration of the corrosive nature of the pursuit of power and the often-complicated relationship between mothers and daughters.
