Witches and wizards, grab your wands — the brand new Harry Potter Shop is now open in Chicago. The store opened to the public on April 10, 2025, welcoming Harry Potter fans from around the world. 

The shop is only the second U.S. location of the popular retail experience, with the other locations in London and New York City. The store is located on The Magnificent Mile, one of the most famous retail districts in the world.

At the new store, fans will find countless things to see, do, and discover, including exclusive merchandise, photo opportunities, interactive elements, themed areas, the largest Butterbeer Bar in the country, and so much more.

  • Exclusive merchandise: Find unique Chicago-themed items, including a Chicago bear, spirit jersey, pins, mug, tote bag, caps, and more.
  • Butterbeer Bar: Inspired by Chicago speakeasies, the all-ages Butterbeer Bar lets guests sip on the iconic drink and indulge in only-in-Chicago butterscotch popcorn.
  • Sweet treats: From Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans to Chocolate Frogs, even Muggles won’t be able to resist the Honeydukes-inspired confections.
  • Rep your house: Whether you’re a Gryffindor or a Slytherin, stock up on themed apparel, accessories,and collectibles that show your house pride. 
  • Personalized items: Add your own personal touch to a Hogwarts robe, wand, or acceptance letter for a truly one-of-a-kind keepsake. 


The store’s interior draws inspiration from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with nods to the three challenges of the Triwizard Tournament. Savvy fans will spot the golden egg, the hedge maze, flaming broomsticks, and even the Goblet of Fire itself.
