This year’s Michelin Guide confirms Chicago’s status as a dining mecca. The prestigious guide awarded 22 Chicago restaurants with Michelin star honors for 2023. The list also includes 47 Bib Gourmand recommendations, including five new additions this year, honoring spots with high-quality food for an incredible value.

Alinea, the acclaimed fine dining establishment led by Grant Achatz, has maintained its three stars since the first edition of the Chicago Michelin guide in 2011. This year, the creative cuisine at Smyth was elevated from two stars to the coveted three-star status.
